I rather sit on the upper deck of the 747, older seats sure but it's much quieter and cozy up there. Flew with British airways before they got rid of their old 747-400s

After flying to Frankfurt on a Lufthansa 747-8i in economy while weighing 235 pounds and sitting next to a man that outweighed me I became determined to lose weight and never be that uncomfortable and in that much pain while flying ever again. I'm now 185 pounds and falling.

Lufthansa business class hasn't changed much in 20 years lol

10 years behind the competition, as always. Same with electric cars, or infrastructure projects. No high speed trains, cash only in most taxis, lots of bureaucracy. There is so much complacency and stagnation with German giants, I am worried for the next decade.

Is it me, or does it seem like only Middle Eastern and some Asian airlines really try to give their passengers ( clients) a truly comfortable experience in business and first class. I have flown extensively in my life, and it just seems like American and European Airlines are only interested in getting you from point A to point B and have minimal concern about the experience. So, is it me???

Also: why the Buddy Holly would someone buying an expensive Business Class seat have to pay even more for seat selection? BC is supposed to be premium service.

This configuration has much more room and feels more luxurious than the more modern configurations. When Qantas (our carrier here in Australia) converted from this configuration to the ‘all aisle access’, it feels claustrophobic. When the seats recline to sleeping position, it feels like you’re on the flloor, and there is only one and a half windows in front of you.
