So, nice pinky extension, on the wine glass. People just don't appreciate a good pinky extension. That breakfast
Nice hike and water. I give this a 10/ out of 10. And Chasing Amy? Wow! This is going to be tough to beat. Thank you for sharing. Safe travels. Our Maiden Voyage is on April 6. Getting excited.

Ahh we JUST missed you. We were at Seaquest a couple weekends ago. One of these days we’re going to run into you!

This was great fun for me. I stayed at Seaquest the last open weekend in 2024 (think that was the timing). Love that boardwalk walk along Silverlake swampy area. I do like State Parks, County Parks, and Federal spots. Equal opportunity vanlife for me! Thanks for sharing, David!

We moved to Puyallup, WA from Nevada in February 1980. In fact I flew back from a meeting in Portland to Seatac 36 hours before Mt St Helens blew up. We could see the lava dome as we flew by Friday night...yikes. I was thinking; what have we done? lol It was pretty surreal the morning it blew up. It looked like twilight, even though it was mid day. The ash plume ended up going over the Eastern Washington and covered buildings with such a thick layer that some collapsed. What a memory it is.

Thanks for this. We often travel up I5 between Portland area and Seattle area, and we always looking for good well maintained nature hiking trails. I was not aware of this, now I am!. Will stop into Seaquest SP next trip.

The Mt. St. Helen’s Visitor Center is actually pretty cool! There’s of course tons of information about the eruption but also a large model that kids (or crouching adults) can go inside. They’re closed for renovation until May, but it’s definitely worth another trip to check it out. 😉

I like to enjoy your local travels. One thing I wish you’d do is narrate while you’re driving m. Like we’re heading down I-5 no that’s not an alien ship it’s the Tacoma dome then as you pass Emerald queen maybe comment on the amazing diner Poodle Dog in Fife. Over the Nisqually bridges etc… that helps pass the time for we watchers. Like last weekend at a rest stop pre Olympia I spied a rig just like yours but I didn’t see you. I did however want to check it out but didnt . Just a thought while you’re taking us along with you.

Pretty! Not so good for solar but I bet the shade is very welcome in summer.

I hope you get to St Helens someday. I was a kid on Whidbey when it blew and still have an aspirin bottle full of ash. Some friends were on a school trip there and had a harrowing escape.

I loved the music in the first half of this video.

I was 3 years old when Mt St Helens erupted.. We were getting water at a County Park in Mason county (we have property in Mason county and at the time we didnt have a well so we had to pack water in).. We had ash on our cars

Papa Pete's Pizza is always a great stop in Castle Rock! Great pizza. You enjoy hiking and water. May I suggest Lake Sylvia State Park Grays Harbor County. Cheers!

usually the visitors centers open in May (around the anniversary of the Eruption) but a couple visitors centers I believe are open earlier.. I recommend in 2026 driving to Johnston Ridge Visitors center.. that is closed until next year or until they get the highway repaired from a landslide..

with a name like 'seaquest' you would think its ocean side. There is actually lots of boondocking spots in that area up the various forest service roads.
