Prosecutor who opposed COVID vaccine mandates dies after contracting virus

A deputy district attorney in Southern California's Orange County died of complications from COVID-19. Kelly Ernby was a vocal critic of vaccine and mask orders. Sara Donchey of CBS Los Angeles reports.

Just so that everyone understands. She was both against mandates and the vaccine. Her husband has stated on his Facebook page that she was not vaccinated.

I was going to post a statement that was just down right mean.
Then I thought off all those that I know personally who've had covid-19, and are still having a hard time recovering from it.
I can't say anything mean after thinking of those people.
This illness should never have become politicized.

I am 75 y/o. Back in the day my dad took me to the school on Saturday to get the Polio shots. One look at those " "Iron Lung" machines and I ran like a rabbit to get vaxed.

this virus is too unpredictable I got it twice nothing happen to me either times, my buddy showed no symptoms except for severe appendix pain that lasted 1 day my cousin vomiting and headaches my mom's boss became so debilitated she looked like she lost the will to live but thankfully recovered it's really a roll of the die with covid

I just wanna say thank you to most of the comments for being cordial. I wish we could be United more like this. I hate constantly arguing with the other side when I know a lot are good people. So, again, it’s just finally nice to see a lot of compassionate comments.
