Minecraft would've made a billion if it was fully animated. Fans of the game (Like myself) are disappointed in the jumanji treatment. So, if people hear it's good after the first few days. Those fans might turn around... and it IS one of the biggest video games ever.

Minecraft has played quite the role in my own life as a result of my children and grandchildren, and we are all looking forward to watching the movie next Monday. It’ll also be my first movie at the cinema this year which makes for the slowest start to a movie going year for me. Not sure I’ll be getting anywhere close to my totals for the last few years.

I have to say this: I’m 42, have 2 nephews I took, 16-12. All of the audience under 25- ish clapped at ALL of the memed items and catch phrases in the movies. It was AN EXPERIENCE. Fun movie, CG looked great. Green Screen was really good. I loved how the villagers/ creepers/zombies felt like a mix of cg and practical suits. I hope they make more. This may be the best video game adaptation to film.

My three kids and I grew up playing Minecraft together! We had our own server to play on. I can't wait to feel that nostalgia with my now grown kids when we see it next week! (Can't make opening weekend)

I used to play Minecraft everyday for a couple of years and seeing this movie bring together a community of those who shared a deep appreciation for the game is really wholesome. I know I'll be bound to crack up and tear up while watching the movie! Can't wait!
