The key is patience. Seems to take forever to get ideal conditions for shooting the sky. Pesky clouds, moon, trees and houses always in the way. I’m ready to mount a pier to the roof of my house lol

Your 3 minute exposure is better than my 210 stacked Frames... but i did it manually, no tracker involved.

I just started astrophotography like something 8 months ago but I still try to get a good setup for astronomy but recently I purchased binoculars for beginning of astronomy.

I might be on my own here, but once you get to the real good image quality, you'd really just as well go and download an image from the Hubble telescope. I mean, since the perspective on these objects is the same for everyone and since they're deep on the sky you can't compose them any different than others, it really just becomes a game of how close can you get to these scientific telescopes

Wow. I just shot Orion last night. 30 minutes, 180 pictures. Nothing like that though.

I've done alot of post processing work from a software perspective, with these is it just additive with color correction?

But aperture is equally as important. It doesn't matter if you shoot for a week straight if You're at f/2827722

I think I could still definitely work with the 3 hour one. That's enough to bring some outside gas into the image, right?
