Amira Willighagen - Holland's Got Talent All Stars, 2023 - Full segment with judges (Subtitles)

Amira Willighagen returns to Holland's Got Talent All Stars for a ten year anniversary. In Spring 2023, Dutch TV Channel RTL4 invited back the best of the past fifteen years of HGT. It was not a contest, but a showcase of their progress since the show. As a special featured guest, Amira – the most famous contestant to have ever appeared on the show – was flown in from South Africa and was saved for the final performance of the night. The show was recorded before a live audience on May 19, 2023 in Aalsmeer, Netherlands, and was broadcast on Dutch television on December 30, 2023. Here is the full segment with Amira, along with judge's comments and English subtitles. The judges are Marc-Marie Huijbregts, Chantal Janzen, Dan Karaty, and Edson da Graça. Amira's father Gerrit was also present in the audience along with officers of her nonprofit, Gelukskinders.

FACTS ABOUT AMIRA
Amira was born in the Netherlands in 2004.
Her father was a church organist and her mother and brother played the violin. Her grandfather was an opera singer.
Amira began singing opera arias at 7 years old after hearing Luciano Pavarotti sing Nessun Dorma on the radio on a family trip to England.
She taught herself to sing by watching online tutorials and YouTube videos of Maria Callas and Andrea Pacelli.
Amira won Holland's Got Talent in 2013 at the age of 9.
Amira has since toured all over the world, including Belgium, USA, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, Hong Kong, Argentina, Mexico, Malta, Monaco, Iceland, Austria, Botswana, and South Africa.
Amira is fluent in Dutch, English, and Afrikaans, but sings in 11 language.
When Amira was 13 her parents divorced and she and her mother and brother moved to South Africa.
Amira graduated from high school Valedictorian in December 2022.
Today Amira has dual citizenship, Dutch and South African.
Amira is working toward a Bachelors of Musical Arts (BMA) at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

I have since watched her many, many times She took my heart for her voice, but also for the way she reverted to a bubbly little girl when she stopped singing. Tonight I cried when I saw how she has grown into a beautiful young lady whose voice has onlky got better, but the bubbly wee girl is still there.

I was part of a Pipes and Drums band from Canada, escorting WWII veterans back to The Netherlands for Liberation anniversary ceremonies. Amira sang for our veterans. It was so emotional, moving. Bless her.
