Recover Gold from Computer Memory IC chips - With a DIY Incinerator

Here is how I incinerate IC (Integrated Circuit) chips to recover Gold, with a DIY Incinerator I made from fire brick and a Reil burner. These IC chips were from the Computer Memory (RAM) boards we used to recovery the gold from the fingers.

I never tried this but maybe right after incineration you quench them and the thermal shock would pulverizes the ceramic cover?

Nice. Getting a little gold in your pocket and a ton of Bromide, Lead, mercury, Cadmium, Chromium, BFRs, PVC, and some Dioxins in your lungs and tissue as well.

Could I instead of using acid to process the powder could I put it in a high temp kiln?

I've heard from someone that all the precious metals are in the pins and other components within the chips, not in the black stuff you incinerate, but that when you incinerate you lose some of the metals into the ash, making it necessary to process the ash as well. He said that it is better to pulverize the chips without incinerating, then you can just dispose of the chip material (ceramic?). Anyway, your thoughts?

Geo (on YouTube) says that he places the entire Ram Board in AP. In that way he does two steps in one by recovering the Gold from the fingers while the AP erodes the Iron Legs freeing the Chips. That way you are not left with as much Iron.

Great video. What was the initial weight of the IC Chips and what was the recovered and refined weight of the Gold?
