Omg, this is so crazy! My wife, two friends, and I were right behind you at the restaurant when the water spout came up. We got drenched. 😂

Absolutely LOVED this video! I grew up in Curacao and now live in Puerto Rico. Your points about Curacao and Aruba are spot on. I loved the villa as well! Good on you for the independent mindset. Cheers!

6 weeks to go and I'll be there! Thanks for the recommendations on beaches, coves, and restaurants to visit. I'll add them to my list.

I've been to all three of the ABC Islands and I think your title is a little unfair. If you're only able to visit ONE, I would choose Curacao as well. But I think both are worth visiting, although I would recommend visiting Aruba first, because once you've seen Curacao, Aruba won't impress you that much. It sounded like you didn't venture too far beyond the tourist areas in Aruba, you can find the kind of experience you're looking for in Aruba too if you know where to look. But I will say Aruba is more commercialized and has a lot of American influence, while Curacao feels much more traditional and authentic. Overall, Curacao is much more diverse in terms of attractions and geography. It's much more scenic and the snorkeling and beaches are better by far. However, some things Aruba has over Curacao is it's safer, the U.S. dollar is more widely accepted, and I also felt Aruba in general was much more tourist friendly, and had more opportunity to learn about the islands' history and culture. Also, the people on Aruba were much more friendly and open than on Curacao. Curacao had some of the most unpleasant people I've ever met.
The people alone are a reason to visit Aruba.

I agree with you on all inclusive resorts. I visited some on Grand Cayman and literally felt depressed. However, your video lost credibility when you said you visited Turks and Caicos, but are saying not to visit Aruba. Aruba is WAY more interesting than Turks and Caicos! Now it may not be as interesting as some other islands, but Aruba was only the second Caribbean island I visited, and it's what got me started in exploring the "real Caribbean", so it will always have a special place in my heart.

first statement already is cap you only have been to tourist beaches in aruba go to rodger beach grapefield beach parts of eagle beach Santo Largo andicuri dos playa black stone beach etc etc aruba is way safer cleaner nicer people, the reason why the house in aruba would be 2/3 times more expensive is becuase aruba is 3 times smaller and has 1/2 of people and a lot more people want to go to aruba. that is why their gdp was 500 million more than curacao. in the netherlands everybody knows people who go to curacao rahter go to aruba but cant afford it
