New at UH: Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing, “Best Value” College, Spring Commencement
A $20 million gift from UH alumnus Andy Gessner and his wife Barbara will help bolster the nursing workforce amid a labor shortage in the profession. Also, the University of Houston has once again been named one of the top 50 public universities for “Best Value” in the latest rankings from The Princeton Review. Finally, more than 6,700 UH graduates closed the book on their respective degrees during spring commencement. The newly minted Cougar alumni celebrated their big achievements with family, friends and faculty, now ready to tackle their next challenge in the workforce.
