As a pastor from Baptist Church in Brazil I would say that is a denomination that I would attend a local church if there were no Baptist churches in the place. Thanks.

I just started attending a local Evangelical Free Church and so far I love it! I love the focus on Christ and the major doctrines of the faith and the lesser focus on less important matters.

I’ve been a pastor in the EFCA for 5 years. As seen in this video, we allow a lot of things to be I. The individual churches hands. We have a philosophy of “major on the major issues and minor on the minor issues.”

I've been going to visit an E Free church in HK for 25 years and They seemed very biblical and doctrinally sound. A place as a house of worship for the nations of the world. Where the Gospel is preached openly and membership and communion is open to all. Where The Law is succeeded by The Gospel. I felt at home there. And wish to return.

Can you do a video on the relationship or historical relationship between the Evangelical Free Church of American (EFCA)/Evangelical Free Church of Canada and Converge (Baptist denomination) USA/Baptist General Conference of Canada (BGC) [of the Swedish Baptist tradition] both of which stem from Pietists/Radical Pietist that split from the Lutheran Churches?

Thank you for these videos, they are very informative.

Do you have a text glossary of all the terms you use on this channel? I'm talking about words like Charismatic, Eschatology, cessationist, Congregational. A glossary would arrange the words alphabetically, and give a short description with example (videos). Or is there a simple dictionary-like online dictionary? Something for lay-people.

You do a very good on these videos. I’m an interdenominational preacher in training so I think you’re well studied and you make it easy to understand what you’re saying.

Thanks to your videos on the EFCA, I've been looking into them and am strongly considering joining the denomination once I find a church, and if the Lord is calling me into a traditional ministry role: then I think I like the way the EFCA operates.
Thank you for the video brother :)

My Aunt and her family were members of an Evangelical Free church here in the UK, and I often got to experience it whenever I visited them. Being a non-conformist (though I didn't realise it then) their style did make me feel a tad uncomfortable. She's a Baptist now and I like that strand much better!

It sounds like they have so many clauses and exceptions to practice that they are not actually held together by doctrine but by a spirit of community.

I love the EFCA (I am a member) but one thing that erks me is how unspecified they are on so many things. I understand why the leave a lot up for individual congregations to decide on but it often seems like they just don’t want to think hard about difficult things.

I have never been a member, but there is an evangelical free church that meets in the school I work for.

Isn't this the organization that Charles Swindoll is a part of? Just curious

So they basically became baptists with a bunch of asterisks.

I visited an Evangelical Free Church in Denver 10 years ago and they seemed very worldly to me. I felt as if I was in the world when it came to music, worship etc. I felt that people with a liberal point of view would feel at home there. This is the only Evangelical agree Church I’ve been to and don’t know if it’s representative of all the churches within this denomination.

the guy that discipled me got an EFC parish however hadn't heard from him upset he left however things change

This is extremely interesting. Sounds a lot like Evangelical Covenant Churches. I wouldn't mind seeing those two compared head-to-head.

How would They compare to the Swedish baptists now known as converge? I know they both have pietist roots

Non denominational mainline churches are more conservative than traditional main line churches
