He is Mexican and most Mexicans have been dancing those type of steps since they were little kids….I spend lots of time in Baja California (Mexico) and have been invited to several weddings and quinceañeras and I swear they all dance like that.
I can’t dance like that but when a Mexican man takes me to the dance floor they spin me around and I look like I know what I’m doing…my feet barely touch the ground.
