One of the reasons I subscribed to your channel is for the reviews of the Russian gear. I have several pieces myself, and it's quality. Good to see that you, and so many in the comments, are refusing to fall for the madness. There's a whole lot more to this than most people seem to realize. I have friends in Russia, and in Ukraine. I don't stand with any flag, I stand with the good people - doesn't matter what country they're from. Stay strong my friend, and keep doing what you do.

Russians and Ukrainians make some great equipment and outdoor clothing. I have been buying from Russian cold camo for years and will continue to do so regardless of the proxy war in Ukraine. The Gorka suit is one of my favorite pieces of hiking/outdoor clothing and I would recommend it to anyone.

Jess, I don't believe have to apologise to anyone for using or promoting any Russian surplus gear. What's happening is very sad and disappointing, and I'm against it as much as anyone, however your reviewing gear, and everyone needs to remember that. i've got the cold steel version, this one looks really nice too though, very useful in the woods and fun to play around with in camp if you get bored, a nice myriad of uses too

got one, (and two of the older model) ... i also sharped the edges, found the aggressive point was good for hard ground. I use mine as a pot stand too with the addition of some cord and a straight branch (as the arm)
On one of my older spades, i have stripped the paint, am going to season it and use it as a frying pan for cooking steaks.

I got two of these out of Russia just before all the BS started and I gave them the same treatment as my MPL50 and my Cold Steel shovels. I think this one is hands down my favorite of the three! One edge I sharpen to almost a knife edge but the others I only go shovel sharp. On the 6e5 I left one side blunt for battoning.

I own one of these personally. Works great. The best feature, and reason I pack it over an Etool, is the on site repairability.

Great video. I have old US army issue from my dad when I was a boy scout many moons ago . Still works!!...I don't care who makes it, as long as it does the job it was designed to do.

Tools are tools, I do not have any issues with your vids. Thanks for keeping them going. Any Military issue items are far better than the cheap Chinese knock offs that circulate on Amazon.
