2022 Shop Tour | Furniture Maker’s Garage Woodshop

I think it is about time I show you around my woodshop! I converted my 2-car garage into the workshop where I build all of my woodworking projects. 440 sq ft may not seem like much space, but what you can fit with careful planning and organization is impressive. Of course, that's not to say that I wouldn't LOVE a bigger space, but sometimes you have to work with what you got! And one of the biggest suggestions I can give anyone looking to get their shop set up is to think about your own personal workflow.

In this video, I show where I have my tools and supplies organized and why, my favorite tools to use, and the ones I can't live without. Plus a few that leave me wanting more. You can also catch some suggestions on what I would do differently based on my personal experience. What works for me may not work for everyone, but it may help motivate you to develop your own solution in your workshop.

I hope this shop tour inspires some of your future shop upgrades, and let me know what you think!

I've been subscribed to your channel and watching your videos for a while now. It's great seeing how much you've organized and upgraded your shop since making this video. You've accomplished so much it makes me want to get out into my shop and get to work on the improvements I've been wanting to make. BTW - Using grout floats at the jointer is genius!

Nice tour and cool shop. Noticed your semi collapsed orange bucket/cyclone dust collector. One simple way I have sean to prevent the bucket from collapsing is to simply stick it inside another bucket. 👍🏻

It may help to put the bucket on your dust collection there inside a second bucket. It will keep the bucket from collapsing as much during use.

I'm really enjoying my Sawstop contractor saw (52") my plan was to put my Delta 36-725( shopfox classic fence with 7' rails) back-to-back with the Sawstop but the Sawstop was 2" shorter so out went the Delta and in came the mobile base, cast iron wings and overhead dust collection for the Sawstop

Nice setup! This definitely gave me a few ideas on how I can organize some things in my shop. I appreciate the video. I'm up in Hampton so not too far. I can certainly relate to the humidity especially in the summer months. Looking forward to future videos.

Dig your workshop!
One thing I did notice how you could gain more space and that’s by utilizing a wall track system. I personally use the Gladiator track system but there are many to choose from.
