Not a big difference from 2022, but looks stunning for a manager game and steadily becoming better and better!

The changes that I was hoping for the 2023 game:

-Faster improvement from the F2/F3 drivers
-Better AI
-Change teams (confirmed by devs)
-Sprint Races
-More decision making
-Random engine failures
-Build a driver academy or to loan drivers (for example reserve drivers) to other teams
-Pit stop mistakes
-Pit lane start
-Formation lap pit stop
-Pit lane speeding mistakes
-Rating decrease for veteran drivers or drivers that don't perform
-Race highlights
-F2/F3 drivers face design (at least the highest rated F2/F3 drivers)
-Different helmet designs when a driver changes teams

I will buy this year's game and I will see how many of these things were in the game. Most of them could be fixed with a game editor like Motorsport Manager or Football Manager have.

With the ability to change teams coming soon, the longevity of a career will make for some entertaining seasons!

New ideas for next years game:

1. Start managing a F3/F2 team (optional and just for experienced players). Start managing a team like Prema/ART/MP and after getting a championship with them in F2, being promoted to a team like Alfa Romeo/Williams or Alpha Tauri.

2. Game Editor. Similar to the Motorsport Manager or Football Manager Editor: a tool that gives us the chance to change the ratings, the growth rate or the performance of the cars without the use of mods.

3. A season summary report that tells us in every season who was the driver that got pole, win, fastest lap, the qualy and race head to head, points and championship standings.

4. Engine regulation change and the ability to develop the engines from 2026 onwards. They already have that feature in Codemasters games. The game doesn't need to actually tell us to which engines we are switching, just a %percentage of how power we will lose or gain with the regulation change.

5. Different calendar order or the introduction of new tracks. Probably new tracks would be a lot of money, so the option to change the order of races would add so much longevity to the game.

6. Reserve driver's job needs to be more relevant. I think that the car parts that we develop should be better or worse depending on the reserve driver or at least how accurate is what we expected from that part to affect the car and what it actually improved the car.

These are just ideas for next year's game that would add a lot to the career mode experience. I'm sure that I will enjoy this year's game as much or more than last year's but I think that this changes would make a lot more players to get interested in this game series.

I just hope the random lockups and spins don't happen far too often. I get brake cooling, tyre temperature, and control stat is important, but they happen far too often in the game.

Having played a bit, I find that the pit crew training has depth that I’m not suprised is the same with the drivers or staff. Maybe they’re testing the idea for future installments?

Great teams but still missing a "myteam" option. Shouldn´t be so hard to add an additional "blank" team when even the "big brother" F1 23 can do it.

Only thing I prefer from last years game is the menus, for some reason the menus this year look weird and less F1 like, also some teams have the wrong driver as their first driver like Mercedes thinking George Russell is the first driver or McLaren thinking it’s Oscar Piastri other than that it’s a step up in terms of race simulation and realism

The one improvement I really hope they made was to make the ai smarter. Smarter in strategy and smarter in car development. I don’t want to be able to win the championship with haas in season 2.
Edit: also, make strategy’s less clear cut. I don’t want to know exactly how the tyre is going to degrade.

Can we get data editor please.. So we could change stats of drivers and teams as we like and be able to switch drivers to other teams

F1 manager is an amzing game however it is lacking some proper team principle moments. First is allowing drivers to rebuff the orders and more. Also maybe towards the end of a race you can see them enter the pits. Also you should be allowed to speak to the drivers behind the scenes. This is now my problem but for qualifying it would be better that after every session it didn’t stop but continued. You could make subtle changes and can’t move your car till the stewards enable green light. And track evolution should be much more noticeable. It other than fine tuning some things this game is one of the best games out there including the fact that it has been in the makes for 3 years

Anyone else getting the game locking up in the data view screen while flicking through standings, lap history etc??? Game is still playing in background though. 3rd time it's happened. Have to close game and reload to fix.
