I don’t think Terrence understands what each of the 1s in 1x1 mean and what the objective of multiplication is. This is not 1 + 1 my dear. One of the 1s is the number of items we are counting and the other 1 signifies the number of lots/groups that are present. The objective of multiplication is to find out how many items we have in all the lots/groups. The lots or groups are not the subject here, but the items in them are. So, if we have one lot of 1 item (1 x 1), the answer is 1 (item altogether). If we have no lots of 1 item (1 x 0), the answer is 0 (items altogether). If we have 1 lot of 2 items (2 x 1), the answer is 2 (items altogether). I’ve read his tweet which contains a paper explaining his theory, it’s total and utter BS!
