In today's debate we have two rulers of the skies from seperate eras. In one corner we have one of the largest flying organisms to ever exist, known as Quetzalcoatlus. In the other corner, we have the heaviest bird to take to the skies, known as Argentavis. Who will rule the skies? Stay tuned and find out!

Quetz takes the cake for sure. Large Azdarchids were apex predators, no other flying animal even comes close to their size, Quetzalcoatlus was over 3 times the weight of Argentavis. Its beak was the size of Argentavis’ whole body!

The reference to “rodan” and “the giant claw” was kinda funny ngl

I agree with the final verdict. I personally think that a more even match would be Argentavis vs Pteranodon or Tropeognathus, but I digress. I think another good bird for another bird vs pterosaur matchup would be Haast Eagle. It’s not nearly as big as Argentavis, but was still a powerful predator that would be a good matchup for a similarly sized pterosaur.

I don't think some people grasp just HOW BIG these 2 were. Imagine it's late at night, you're on the way home, and one of these is just chilling in your driveway. It's their driveway now. Great video as always pal.

agree with the verdict. the size difference is too much. on a land fight argentavis is literally dwarfed by quetz and the latter can probably finish the bird with a single peck. a dog fight in the air is a more equal scenario due to argentavis' superior agility but i still think that the giant azdarchid takes this due to its size and weaponry.

a more equal fight would've been argentavis vs quetzalcoatlus lawsoni

I've always wondered what kind of evolutionary pressures would've pushed Quetz to grow THAT HUGE!!!

0:23 no way bro said Rodan in his video

hell nos quetz was also built for terrestrial movement and could still leverage it's range advantage

Pretty sure in open areas Quetz and other azdarchids can sprint and azdarchids are dedicated land predators

I’d say quetz takes it. Argent didn’t have the agility to make up for its smaller size and is severely out gunned. Plus quetzal probably had more stamina to boot.

Awsome vid man! Also who do you think would win Sloth bear or a Giant Anteater?

The better, less one-sided matchup is: Quetzalcoatlus versus Hatzegopteryx.

I'm curious about some battle between big ornithopods and theropods, like for example iguanodon vs torvosaurus

On the ground Argentavis is totally boned, but in the air I think it really comes down to agility which has to go to Argentavis.

Agree with the verdict on the winner 🏆

You should do deinonychus/dakotaraptor vs human (with small weapon like knife, bow ect.)

Ps, love your content ❤

Argentavis vs Hatzegopteryx would arguably be even more of a massacre for the poor bird, given Hatz's more robust build
