Please remember that Newsom could not be a VP candidate to Harris. The Constitution prohibits a same-state ticket.

The only reason Gavin was not considered for VP is because Kamala is already from California and apparently you can’t have the President and VP from the same state.

I don't weep for Newsom, but I still think that the process for replacing Biden should have been more open. The anointing of Harris was disturbingly undemocratic.

Ok Ana, would you vote for Newsome or Trump if he were running this time around? I know Cenk would vote for someone in a vegetative state that the democrats wheeled around in a wheelchair on life supoort over Trump, but I'm interested in Ana's take since she's reasonable and objective.

Just a correction, Gavin Newson could have not been considered for VP for Kamala Harris because they would have been from the same State and that would be a violation of the 12th Amendment.

Whatever one might think about Newsom, the story here is more about Ana than Gavin. 
The throughline with Ana in the past two years is she's angling for a new gig and it includes making common cause with rightists.
If you've followed her for that time you have to be dense not to see what she's doing.
