So many community so many countries the woman is of little or no value. I do believe that the people have to be educated are the parents ; educate the son and daughters : both are very valuable in anything they are both a very precious life that is to respect and be respected.

both male and female circumcision ( khatna ) are Sunnah ;not obligation.Nowhere in the Koran does it say either one is mandatory .

Terrible practice being done right now during covid vacation in north kenya, I personally come from a tribe that does the opposite we elongate what other cut to maximize fun for her(can u drink tea with no sugar or sweet for long?

I just very much wish pp would understand that a woman has just as much right to enjoy carnal actives as any man. I mean if that part of the human body is so bad why r they not doing this to the men to!? I mean taking pretty much the whole thing off not just the little they do take for male circumcision so they can't even enjoy carnal actives either. I don't feel it's right for anyone to go through this but for woman it's a lot worse I feel b/c they will not likely get to understand what was taken from them it's just sick!

if no matter what amount is cut and it is an issue of consent and assault .Then definitely male circumcision would fall under MGM :no matter if it is done in America as a newborn or as an African or Australian Aboriginal right of passage:it is a matter of consent and assault.

I didn't even know khatna was practised on women in Pakistan- I thought it was only prevalent in the Arab countries. I had many bohra neighbours but they never ever mentioned it!!
It is a religious practice but because I have never heard of it being practised, in spite of being a practising Muslim, I would've actually been horrified.
الحمدُ لله it is a sunnah and whatever my Nabi ﷺ has said is full of goodness and success. As much as the thought scares me, I know it is the best thing for us... I think I wouldn't be scared of khatna. I'd be scared of the person circumcising me cutting me up way too much or not doing it right!!

If partial or all or the removal of the female foreskin prepuce or clitoral hood has no advantages; then removal of the male prepuce has no advantages at all. If there is no hygiene reason for females, there is no hygiene reasons for males .If the prepuce serves the function in women, then it serves the same function in men .
