Haa this is again such an often usefull knowledge, great! Great for who did get the chance to learn it on this higher but still very practical level. It is an item i remember from school but only after this lesson i can really do something with it. It goes much deeper with much more to learn but still much easier to understand! That is what makes you such a good teacher i think. And when you watch these videolessons in a row you get an extraordinairy practical usefull course in higher level electronics enginering! 16:50 I have torn down many flyback power supplies and crt tv flyback transformers and most of em if not all have the gap on the inside right in the middle of the bobin where the coils are wound. Does the bobbin act as a spacer between the coils and the gap that negates this effect just enough, so that the manufacturing simplification is worth it?
