What a perfect way to describe that feeling of desperate depression where you excuse any moment of happiness as fleeting and gone, and dismiss the possibility of it ever coming back, irrationally thinking that it will "stay in the past" forever. Exhausted from having to climb mountains to reach a high you don't really care about anymore. That's how those words resonate with me anyway, especially right now.

i like the lil plucking noises in the music because it feels like in between having a melody in the music but not so prominent that it drowns out the vocals :>

I feel like a lot of more 'modern' and 'pop' songs are completely missing the bridge in the songs but James never disappoints. It's a similar style to the king of Leons or the killers. From the dissonance to James using his head voice to access those more vulnerable sounding tones. It's just amazing, please come to Brisbane soon <3 would do anything to see you in your zone!
