Douglas Falls - Big Ivy Area, Pisgah National Forest

Douglas Falls is a 70' high free falling waterfall in the Big Ivy area of the Pisgah National Forest near Barnardsville. We decided to revisit this waterfall last week due to the abundant rainfall this area has had recently. There are several other smaller waterfalls along the 10 mile stretch of gravel road on the way to Douglas Falls, but the lighting sucked at those and the video sucked as well. Maybe next time.

Beautiful, peaceful footage of one of my favorite places from my youth! Thank you! We lived in nearby Mars Hill, N.C. and knew the waterfall as "Carter Creek Falls" and the Big Ivy area as "Coleman Boundary".
