Kavieng Stringband (2 of 2)

This is a string band from Kavieng, New Ireland Province. Their style of playing will be instantly recognizable by the locals there. I didn't have the time to get their name but I feel they should be promoted and given exposure, that's why I uploaded. They were playing at a small graduation ceremony, as entertainment, at the National Maritime College in Kavieng in October 2017. Hope you like it.

The lead guitarist is truly impressive, he is talented.The entire band, especially the guitarists, apply a variety of chords in this song including amazing patterns.I love this group..

This song was recorded by Igua brother of Watt Igua from Kavieng. I heard their cassette in the 90s. Watt Igua played the lead guitar for his brother. This entertainment group plays it well. Fantastic. Respect to them. Ino wrong yet.
