I gotta admit, I was a little worried about Daniel Radcliffe after he finished Harry Potter. But he has grown up very well, and I’m very proud of him.

I'm reminded of how when Robin Williams was making Jumanji, he told the people in charge to NEVER make or convince the kids to work longer hours than needed to.

I understand fully where he's coming from and agree with totally, the amount of abuse some of these child actors and serialization they get it understandable

It’s funny because from what I’ve heard his parents didn’t love the idea of him acting either (because they were both in the business). And I think the main problem is Hollywood… the UK is a bit more respectful of child actors in my opinion.

the harry potter cast got lucky. they were able to be around mostly good people with good intentions for those 10 years. glad most of them are doing well, especially dan, emma, and rupert

My favorite thing was in his interview after the films wrapped, he said the hardest part was knowing that his hair and makeup friends were going to go on and be working on other films and that made him sad and a bit jealous because he loved the two ladies who he got to see every day before filming. And he talks about the importance of the crew a lot in interviews. About how the camera people are really the ones you see day after day, not necessarily your costars, and those relationships with other members of the film crew feel very important and you grow close with them. That was when I knew for a fact he was a good bean.

He was lucky though.

Daniel wants to be more than just "that one dude who played Harry Potter." He wants to be "that one dude who supports his family, has an amazing career... and also just so happens to be Harry Potter."

I actually think he underestimates how nurturing and healthy he would be to his kids and guide them towards healthy success

It was such a massive relief to see him not get corrupted by the fame or anything. Being a child actor, and especially the main character, rarely ends well. But he's come out great and is still doing amazing roles

When I saw the title I thought that he wasn’t going to let any child act 😂

I respect him for it. He wants his kids to grow up well, & realizes that acting would more likely hurt them than help them.

It's so strange to think about it
Growing up with some of these movies, they're timeless classics and movies we will always remember over time
But when you look at the other side of the coin and the people that are a part of making that magic, you never know what their dealing with while trying to create that magic

That is something I whole heartedly respect him for. Being a child celebrity can be a lot for a kid and Daniel not wanting that stress for his kids is 100% reasonable.

I think most stars feel the same way. They know what the industry is like and you can’t really blame them for hoping their children want a different life.
