I have been running Maxxis Razrs on my 80 series for a little over 1 year and agree they do have a memory to some degree, I have experienced a flat spot/ out of balance maybe 4 or 5 times at highway speeds, for maybe 5 to 7 KMs then it disappears. Fairly quiet for an agressive tread pattern. I definitely recommend these tyres.

from overseas, thank you very very much Ronny and keep up your wonderful reviews. Proud to be your fan.

I'm currently using the RAZR's, love them. Not an issue to date. I've had other A brands in the past, and although they too, are good in most circumstances, I have found the RAZR's to be on top of the heap. But that's just my opinion on my vehicle.

Good to see reviews on the less mainstream brands, theres already thousands of reviews on BFGs, coopers, Mickey thompsons etc so thanks for the review Ronnie

I also run these tyres and love them, one thing you forgot to mention which you may not have known about Ronny, but if you buy 4 or more Maxxis tyres from a Maxxis dealer you will get Maxxis roadside assist and they will also replace any damaged tyre with a brand new one free. Hands down can't beat that!

Currently running 37 inch trail grapplers on my jeep, and I absolutely love them! Might try the razrs next though. I balance big heavy offroad tires with airsoft BB's and they work great!

I learned so much from this guy in there past year. I may try these tires. So far it's the only MTs the offer 40k miles warranty

Greatly appreciate the honest review! I’m gonna get a set.

The cold flat spot is pretty normal for MTs. The heavy cord in the sidewalls on muddies tend to hold shape when they get cold and stiff. They are fine as soon as there is a bit of warmth in them.

The only solution is to use highway tires and no-one wants to do that.

65, 000 on these tyres on a Ranger with a Boss Aluminium tray and canopy. Fairly heavy. Love them

This review was a big reason I chose these.

Thanks for the review.
Maxxis Bighorn was one of the best tires I have ever ran. Numerous trip to Death Valley and zero failures. Despite a nasty rip in the sidewall, it still got me back home. I can't find any more of those Bighorns in town so I'm considering the Razr.

Although they got discontinued. I loved my Hurucles Trail Digger MT's. They did me well, even tons of highways. Even speeds over 100mph+.

I'd love to see you test the Cooper S/T Maxx. Have a set on my Taco TRD OffRoad & just did a 3 day overland ride. mostly fast speed gravel But some seriously deep sloppy, rutted tracks which took out my rear locker. Pushed on & hoped for the best. Rock climbing & descending. Continued on & was blown away at the traction in all conditions, the quiet highway ride is just a great bonus. But climbing & descending a mud caked hill in a thunder storm with a torrential downpour convinced me that I'll probably never by a mud tire again. Loving my Cooper S/T Maxx in 255-85-16. Previous tires have been BFG's in mud & AT pattern, General Grabber in mud & AT pattern, Goodyear Wrangler in AT & Interco Super Swamper SSR's in a 37-12.50- 16. Possibly my second most favourite, 3 season tire but they suck on snow covered highways which is a yearly thing up here in the Great White North.
Love your channel, Keep up the great work you're doing.

As for balancing, I highly recommend balance beads or if you're cheap like me, airsoft pellets... they'll always be in the right place even if the tire turns 183* on the rim lol I even use them for my road vehicle with no issues

Would love to see how running Maxxis Trepadors would go long term on a tourer

Patagonia milestar mt tires. I am a pipeline in the US and they work well in all types of situations. On my second set now. I got over 50, 000 miles on the first set. I drive a Ford F-150. I also had a set on a Dodge Ram 2500. Got about the same mileage on that set.

Got new 35s for my 88 Hilux, love everything about them. Best overall in my opinion, so far!

I used to run the maxxis bighorn 764s at $215 a corner for a balanced and fitted 33" you couldn't go past them. I had about 3 sets then they jumped to 350 a tyre.. so i went to toyo MT for 310 a corner. Love my toyos but also did love the bighorns. But for the new price i could get a much better quality tyre
