Oistins is a major fishing community located in the Christ Church parish of Barbados. For centuries, the small traditional fishing vessels have been a common sight in Oistin Bay, where fishermen can be seen weaving nets on the shore, and stands providing fresh fish to patrons. The weekly Oistins Fish Fry is an event not to be missed. It is a true representation of Bajan culture and cuisine. The outdoor spot is well known for its delicious food and entertainment, it specializes in variety of mouthwatering fish and at select stalls, you can also find lobster and shrimp. The Oistins Fish Fry is mainly frequented on Friday and Saturday nights, but if you’re in Barbados on a Friday night, it’s almost sinful to skip Oistins Fish Fry.
