When Kazakhs Invaded Tibet | Vol. I

*I want to preface by stating that although certain parts may seem like I am revisiting old conflicts or stirring division, my only intention is to shed light on a fascinating tale in recent history that has been seldom told.*

In the *first volume of this two-part series*, we delve into the lesser-known conflicts of the Cold War era that ravaged Xinjiang in the 1930s and 1940s, collectively known as the Xinjiang Wars. *These struggles were fueled by Chinese, Soviet, and Turkic nationalist tensions,* culminating in the Ili Rebellion. As the region became embroiled in a power struggle between local factions and larger geopolitical forces, the *ripple effects were felt in neighboring Tibet,* where political stability was upended by waves of Kazakh incursions. But nobody, even Tibet experts, *ever talk about it even though every Westerner present in Tibet during this time period made mention of the Kazakh presence in Tibet and its impact on Tibet's internal affairs in their written accounts* . Almost certainly overshadowed and eclipsed by subsequent Tibetan history.

This volume will discuss the backstory of the Xinjiang region, its diversity in culture and how the breakdown of order in Xinjiang triggered migrations and military movements that reached into the heart of Tibet. Through a detailed exploration of Kazakh nomadic groups fleeing the war-torn northern Xinjiang, the narrative examines their forays into Tibet and how they disrupted the region's delicate balance. The Kazakh incursions not only reshaped Tibet's socio-political landscape but also influenced Tibet's relations with neighboring powers, including India, China, the Soviet Union and even of all places, the United States.

Through a combination of archival research, oral histories, and geopolitical analysis, this first volume uncovers the profound, yet unspoken, impact of Xinjiang's political turmoil on Tibet, providing a vital context for understanding the broader regional dynamics that shaped the mid-20th century. *Please stay tuned, since the more elaborative part of this series will be in volume II*

Lets talk about archeological evidences:

Archelogical excavations in Kazakhstan has found the presence of ancient Bhuddhist monasteries and statues of Buddha which are usually dated 7 to 9 century.

Not only that, Probably, during 16 to 17 century, there is a very strong influence of Tibetan tradition Bhuddhism because there is also a rock inscribed picture of Tibetan style Stupas on tge rock. Just Google.

Please don’t spread misinformation. It was the Mongols who invaded and controlled Tibet (for multiple times).
