You sir are awesome! I appreciate all your videos and I have learned a lot from you. I am now gaining a stronger foundation on using Inventor.

I do have a question. When should we use joint and when should we use constraints? I do think they are similar in some ways and I want to know your perspective on this.

another great and in depth video. I love the keyboard shortcuts. Is there a way to select the type of entity you want to select for the constraint without having to necessarily point and click on said entity? For example I will use AutoCADs workflow. I can activate the move command, select geometry, [enter], then right click and I will have a list of the different types of object I can select with my mouse OR I can type a keyboard hotkey for said object snap (m=midpoint, m2p=snap between two points, e=endpoint, etc). Once, I select the object snap entity, I hover my mouse over any area of that object and it'll snap to whatever entity I chose on that object.

So for your example, instead of clicking the face and dragging away, you could right click and select "face" and then hover by that face and you will know it is only going to select the face...not accidentally grab an edge etc.

Thanks for a nice video. Could I download your parts so I can follow your video?

Under the "productivity" section, you can hit that arrow (next to "create derived subdivision") and select ground. Then just ground the part at the origin.
