Bert Weedon - Guitar Boogie Shuffle (1959)

1959 tune that went to # 10 in the UK. Originally written in 1945 by Arthur Smith. Several others have recorded this in varying styles. Bert Weedon was a very influential English guitarist. His best-selling tutorial guides, Play in a Day, were a major influence on many leading British musicians.

I remember seeing Bert teaching guitar on TV. Must have been back in the late 50s or early 60s. He played a very distinctive guitar. I wonder if there is any video of him out there. I suspect the BBC wiped all the tapes.
