I visited Louisa, Puerto Rico, a few years back. My family is from Cape Verde, off the coast of Senegal, West Africa. It’s a former Portuguese colony. I could have sworn everybody I saw in Louisa was Cape Verdean! Since then, I have many Puertorican “DNA cousins” show up in my DNA testing results! Cape Verde was just the first boat stop and we know that many enslaved Africans were brought through Cape Verde to Puerto Rico. I am 40% Senegalese and the rest is European/Middle Eastern. But 100% Black

My mother is half white black.my father is from Jamaica.st Thomas.his mother my grandmother is half indian.my mothers mother my grandmother is white.i was brought up on my white side.im tanned skin with curly hair.people would ask me if im Cuban or Puerto rican.? Or india/black.i identified as black.but im mixed also.cus I don't have full black parents .

I appreciate you very informed and educated breakdown. Many if not most people in the world struggle with the difference between race, nationality, culture, etc. Khoisan are not Bantu. You could still have Chinese ancestry but be far enough down the line that you didn't inherit the gene....BUT....I doubt it. lol Black folks of the Americas are obsessed with the idea of being mixed with something "exotic" because most of us fail to see any value in being African. I don't agree with it but after all we've been through I do sadly understand. GREAT VIDEO BRO!
