This short-film by Craig Rullman was commissioned by the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, and will accompany the annual TCAA exhibit and sale in Oklahoma City in September 2024.

The California Rose is a saddle created specially for the TCAA's 25th Anniversary. The saddle is a collaborative effort by master craftsmen from complimentary disciplines—from renowned Canadian silversmith Scott Hardy to Argentine braiding legend Pablo Lozano. It was assembled in Cary Schwarz’s shop on the Salmon River in Idaho that Pedro Pedrini, John Willemsma, Troy West, and Schwarz pulled the pieces together into a masterpiece expression of the traditional, and once ubiquitous, Visalia-style California saddle.
