Welcome to our new emergency department!
The Great Plains Health emergency department sees nearly 20,000 patients each year. With the demand continuing to rise, the hospital leadership and board of directors, in collaboration with the Great Plains Health Care Foundation, created a funding and design plan for an expanded emergency department that totaled approximately $15 million.
The fundraising was kicked off by a $5 million challenge gift, prompting a community-wide effort to match that $5 million. The community responded to the challenge over a three-year campaign led by the Great Plains Health Care Foundation.
