Great history and info for these. I bought this set back in 1985 and still have it. I've managed to add a couple extra if the cultist and leader figures. Back when outlanders came out I was tempted to customize them to a redemptionists gang but now I'm glad I didn't. Used some old chaos sorcerer models and few flagellants converted . I still have that gang as well. One of my all time favorites. Please keep up the history of series. Great information and nostalgic.

Oh wow - another great video and a tonne of nostalgia! My friend bought the Disciples of Red Redemption for his chaos army back in '85 - my brother and I had Eeza Ugezod's Black Orcs, Grom's Goblin Guard, Harboth and the Black Mountain Boys and Notlob's bolt throwers - Greenskins were our thing back then. I also picked up the 2nd release versions of Golgfag's Mercenary Ogres, Grom's Goblin Guard and Bugman's Dwarf Rangers in '87. I still use some of these in Dragon Rampant, they've certainly stood the test of time!

Disciples of the Red Redemption, those were in the very first White Dwarf I ever bought. I recently managed to finally acquire a complete 12 mini set along with some extra disciples along with a set of Knights of the Cleansing Flame.

It would be nice if in the future I talked about other goodies of the 80s. Explaining the spirit of the era, the cultural nerd context, the discarded and retconned ideas, the differences in the various editions and what was going on in the heads of the Warhammer creators.

Super cool, I play renegades and heretics so it would have been awesome to snag these.

Love the mini showcase and history videos even if I wasn't even born yet when these minis were released.

I really enjoy your segments detailing the history of these cool minis.

I remember my gaming group regularly used those as chaos tugs, in Warhammer Armies I am pretty sure they had the armour, shield and flail option, and they conveniently came in a small group of (I believe) 10, though when bulking units you will have doubles of champions, musicians and standard bearers :(

Great video. You don't hear much about these guys now days. I have a decent size unit that I mix with some other models to use as Empire flagellants.

How do these compare to the Mordheim cultists in terms of size? I'm interested in using them to fill the ranks of a cultist warband. Thanks for the great video and history lesson.

These are the guys that were hunted by the avenging knights of the cleansing flame, right?

There I was ready to start typing a long rambling missive about Laserburn.
