Just people having fun and using their imagination... it's not a prediction and was never advertised so.
3D is a dying breed anyway. They used to be the rave, the 3DS, LG had a 3d smartphone, and every advertised 3d showed how cool 3d was. You never see those advertisements anymore and I'm glad.

There are two problems with the design of this concept. First is that the curves are far too strong - it looks too much like a Galaxy Mini S III, and second is the interruption of the clean lines on the back with the 3D camera. Apple are very consistent with their designs and very serious when it comes to clean design, and unfortunately this just doesn't ring true of their principals and design language. On the presentation front, however, I'd give you top marks. Very nice renders!

I really hate seeing these concept renditions because they are never ever the same as when Apple releases the real thing. Not even a tiny bit.

The back looks very nice but the front without a boredom the sides and a curved surface lacks the look of the apple iPhone
