UNLOCK Your NATURAL Potential: Your Training is Holding You Back

Each of us are capable of incredible performance - of moving with power and dexterity that can surprise ourselves. The human body is a truly remarkable, impossibly complex piece of machinery.

The question is: how do you tap into that unlimitted potential? What are the most powerful tools for enhancing performance naturally?

In this video, I aim to answer that question. While there are a few takeaways, I think one of the most overlooked methods is to train new skills and techniques. We can sprint faster, jump higher, swim further, juggling, fight, balance on our hands, climb walls, pick locks, dance, flip, bend... The way you do this is not to get exponentially stronger: it's to go to a class, or to start working on those skills alone.

As you take on more of these skills, you begin to really just HOW MUCH you are capable of.

And when those skills come together and you learn to better control your body across multiple domains - it has limitless transfer. You become faster and better at learning new skills and you move with superior control in everything you do.

The body is incredible - time to see what you can do!

long time viewer. this is still consistently the best channel as you have a holistic message that 99% of others are missing due to tunnel vision

I flew off the handle at a certain youtuber who laid into you over that vid. I wish I had just waited for your reply because you're always level headed. Honestly I think that's the skill of yours I admire the most.

This reminds me of the criticisms of gymnastics rings for being “unstable”, but studies regarding force output through unstable vs rigid mediums don’t account for skill acquisition. Sure someone untrained is going to struggle to put force into a suspended set of rings, but after 2-3 months, and then 2-3 years, there’s likely no significant difference between the force output of them on rings and them doing pull ups on a bar or pushups. And you get the added benefits of healthier movement patterns and improved coordination

As a dragonball fan and someone who has discovered your channel via starting my experimenting with Kettlebells... this video is much appreciated

Adam: **looks directly into camera** that was a good metaphor.

yes, indeed. a sadly unappreciated skill. of all the things you are also obviously very good at (in the fitness space), you do always produce succinct and articulate scripts, so kudos for being an excellent writer as well! 👏👏👏

I mean, as I understand it. "Going Super Saiyan" in it's original context was very much the opposite of a shortcut, it was achieved as culmination of a lot of intense training, I think that was the point being made with that story, the characters who trained hard broke their limits, and the ones who didn't got beat.

As I’ve said previously, you’re one of the few who “gets” it. Kudos as always, great video.

More great content Adam! As someone starting over at fitness (who am I kidding... just starting, really) seeing more people talk about the fundamentals of fitness and what the body can do without "help" is encouraging!

Nice one Adam. It takes integrity to do what you did here.

Technique is really important. Recently incorporating more hypertrophy training, and the extra muscle makes me slower. I sort of had to "overcome" the new muscle mass, focusing a lot on technique and speed and fluidness to mitigate the stiffness of the extra muscle. In the end I managed to increase my speed and fluidness to what it was before, and my strikes are now much more powerful, but if I were to just increase my muscle mass without the technique work, it would actually slow me down and make me a worse fighter.
Also extra muscle makes my heart and lungs work overtime, which I'm also working on compensating for with cardio and with changing my style to include a bit less volume.

It's important to pass on the wisdom that we cultivate. I recently heard that Steve Cotter passed away. He was very inspirational not only for his kettlebell work, but for his integration of Qigong and Neigong elements into his strength protocols. He was in his mid 50's. None of us know how much time we have. Every day has to be an opportunity to express our joy for life through love; love of movement, of human connection, of our individual and collective evolutions. This journey isn't just to the next competition, the next goal. It is one step; one breath at a time. Present and connected.

Great video, as always. Just love Your channel! I like that You include the brain in the "fitness equation". Thats something people should do more, and in a broader sense, I think. An example is that reading fiction in your bed right before sleep can make you sleep better. Reading fiction also reduces stress and anxiety, and so helps to improve your workouts. As some one said "Books make you strong". :). (And it goes the other way around. I have seen a positive effect on my mental calculation and "musical ear" after workouts.) My point here is that brain training does not have to be like a workout with apps and stuff, even if thats good and fun to. It can be such things as reading a novel, playing an intrument or painting. Wich improves funtional fitness in a much wider sense, both physical, mental and emotional. Sorry for my ramblings. I hope it makes some sense.

You do truly good work my friend. Been following you for years. You make a great point that I feel many of us don't realize until our older years. That we can't tweak one thing without killing balance somewhere else.

Performance has to be built in balance. If you overly focus on one area. Especially using steroids to enhance something you'll pay in the long run. People are born with everything they need. It's our job to study and learn how to use our bodies and minds responsibly.

As a lifelong martial artist and powerlifter I appreciate every point you've made here.

I don't know where I once saw this comment on one of your videos, by a subscriber had said, "I don't know where I found you, but I'm glad I did". Indeed that subscriber was right. You have helped me a ton on my fitness journey and it's fun to want to train like Batman as you stated in your Ebook.
