Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) advanced economics said that they are ready to support the transition to an "inclusive and non-sectarian" government in Syria. In a statement, they called for human rights to be protected, including those of women and minorities. The statement also stressed "the importance of holding the Assad regime accountable for its crimes." It said the G7 would "work with and fully support" any Syrian government that committed to upholding these principles.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has told his Egyptian counterpart that China is "deeply concerned" about current developments in Syria. "The two sides are deeply concerned about the current situation in Syria and call for respect for Syria's sovereignty," Wang told journalists after talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. Wang also said that efforts should be made to prevent "terrorist and extremist forces from taking advantage of the chaos. We agreed that we should promote peace and negotiations in order to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East," Wang said at the joint press conference with Abdelatty.

G7 is not anything in the current world. They are living in their past glory. Look at Afghanistan if u think G7 is any thing

As a Syrian, I would like to tell my opinion. I think America should help Syria rebuild itself, as it did with post WW2 Germany Italy and Japan. Syria has had 60 years of bad relations with America, and this is the occasion to finally change Syria’s former stance. I rlly hope Syria has great relations with Europe, Britain and America. A Better Syria is good for everyone. Syria is a country that have been officially independent since 1936, and democratic from 1943-1949, 1954-1958, 1961-1963. While many modern liberal democracies such as Spain and portugal were still dictatorships. Syria is the first Arab country to actually have a democratic experiment, although far away also the first country in the Middle East (exept turkey) to let women vote, back in 1949. Far before Iran Iraq Yemen Jordan etc etc. Syria is not just « some other Arab countries », Syria is Syria. So I would like ppl to stop saying this is the « new Afghanistan » « new Libya » or idk who else. Each country is different. In this case, Syria has been under 54 years of totalitarian dictatorship. Without a doubt, the transition won’t be easy, just like for any country that faced what I’ve just mentioned, in top of a 13 years of war. It’s the occasion to show that a post totalitarian country can have a decent transition to a better future, to set an exemple to ppl living in autoritarian regimes such as Iran Russia Eritrea Venezuela and Cuba …. That there is a way out ! Syrians should be able to decide what’s best for their country. And between america Iran Russia turkey, I would clearly say America is by far the safest option to ally with. Alongside Europe britain as well. In top of regional allies ofc (turkey Qatar ksa, you name it) I rlly hope Syria can become more democratic and free and more liberal to respect human rights. No Totalitarian Family-Militaristic Assadist rule, no theocracy!
