10 acres of cardboard material! That is insane. Good wishes to the firefighters!

There should be inspections from the state! That is a mess and an obvious fire hazard!

Here we go again! Another wrench in the works for the supply chain. There seem to be a lot of these unusually large fires at warehouses and distribution centers lately. Coincidence?

Used to be a big DHL facility there. The neighborhood protested against the DHL planes going in and out. And possible health hazards. Guess they should have looked to see who took over?

Really surprised to see it burn after the rain we got in this area yesterday off the hurricane.

So they leave cardboard out in the weather as part of normal storage practices? What happens to it when it gets rained on?

Why would the county let anyone store material like this?

They should not ever have that much combustible material, like cardboard in the first place. Turn in what doesn't burn to the nearest recycling center. Call them and tell them how grave and dire the situation is and they can send trucks out to pick up with that much stored. Is the one in charge a hoarder? I would seriously find out how this has happened on the storing cardboard, we all know better than that. That much says mental illness of hoarding, get fixed mentally or get out. Not ok. Strange what were they saving all of it for in the first place? That much come on incredible that the fire department didn't know this was even there. WoW unreal.

I looked up "March AFB" on got haunting stories and ghost hunter content... hmm how close is the fire to the 'haunted' AF museum?

I wonder if this one was related at all to our food and supply chain.

This is hurting all the children, and all the elderly people in the community and all others including commuters,

…And now the March JPA is proposing more warehouses nearby, closer to homes in the area. This is what residents have to look forward to right in their backyards.👎

how many days of record temperatures? Cardboard baking in the sun and accumulating heat that never quite cools all the way because they have it packed tight. It is called spontaneous combustion. If they would just leave a foot or 2 of airgap every 3 or 3 rows, they MIGHT not have this problem. The other big fire was also cardboard packing materials. Another one was a recycling center that packed bales. Stacked hay will burn if you get enough high heat days too, that is why big operations prefer rolls, they do not get big enough to start cooking.
