Imagine being stranded at sea and then finally reaching land and kissing it..then this spider just pops out of then sand in front of your face and pats your nose and says "you made it buddy, good job holding out".

Pretty much everyone on here doesn't seem to fully understand this particular spider so I'll be the one to edumacate. By far the most interesting spider in existence imo, this is the Six-Eyed Sand Spider (either Sicarius Terrosus or some other member of the Sicarius genus). They live exclusively in deserts, and, being desert dwellers, there's nowhere to hide from prey/predators except under sand (hence why they bury themselves). They (very likely) possess the the strongest/most toxic venom of any known spider in the world, the reason for this is that again, being desert dwellers, food is exceedingly scarce, so when they do come across prey (or rather prey comes across them), they must make 100% sure it can't get away/live. They only eat about once a year and never have to seek water as they get enough moisture from their meals. Despite the fact that they're the most venomous spider on earth there's really nothing to fear from them pretty much at all. The only way you'll ever encounter one is to take an exceedingly unlucky step if for whatever reason you happen to be wandering around in the desert, or if you order one to keep as a 'pet'. Even then they are incredibly docile in nature towards anything they don't deem food or a threat to them, and generally don't have sufficiently long fangs to peirce human flesh deep enough to inject venom. What really impresses me is how it holds position through the initial contact. Choosing to wait until the brush is in a more favorable striking position.
