The Astraeos developer, Nekatus, has given more updates on a big performance boost for the map that he's currently working on, along with his thoughts on the Thodes Cyclops boss and the Underworld, including Atlantis.

I wish he'd be that forthcoming about if and when he's finally going to fix the Tek Cave in Svartflheim. It's been completely broken since last year, but last I heard about it was last year when he said it wasn't a priority.

I think having a second area for OSD drops and ele veins would be nice so we all aren't packed around volcano. I definitely like his communication though.

The update must have heavily changed cyclops because we farmed the alpha version on official with a rather mediocre rex team

This is exactly why Premium mods should not be released until its 100% finished. Map or not.
I learn this with the Medieval Gobins mod. Bought it when it released but it releases barely finished. So nothing but problems.
I played Astraeos when it was free and it's going to be an amazing map.
I just think they should not charge money when mods arent finished and all the issues with Astraeos proves my point.

I wish the rest of the community could get on board with pushing against premium mods being released before they are done. It's just a money grab and is setting a very bad precedent for gaming in the future.

the difference is nekatus is one person with his own setup. he doesnt have a low end entry pc with a 3060 to test it properly. wildcard made over a billion dollars with multiple people and the founder of wildcard decided to waste money on his friends and just have them work from home and pay useless staff like dollie to do nothing, wildcard is full of community management staff, which really means hes paying his friends thousands of dollars each every month for doing nothing. probably only a few of them actually work on the game. ie less than 10 probably working on the ark game.
