Honestly hearing that N64 theme on this incredible track again genuinely brought a tear to my eye. I'm so relieved that the final lap still starts with the N64 theme as it truly gives the feeling of grand finale and emotion.

I'm in love with this track. The way the sun shines on parts of the track, the look of the galaxies in the background, the way the music is faithful to rainbow road and its just fun in general to drive on. Best dlc track so far.

1:36 I love that they kept that little detail from the original where if you go to the lower level with the Moon's craters, the music becomes lighter and slightly quieter.

Love what they did with the track itself, making it transparent almost glass like property with a chameleon rainbow effect and neon lit edges.

I never played MK3DS so I saw this for the first time in MK8D and It's probably my new favourite rendition of Rainbow Road. The track is just beautiful!

This is a serious contender for my new favorite stage in this game. It looks so so good, and that comes from someone who was disappointed that they didn’t make the track squares like the others Rainbow Roads in this game

To me this is the true rainbow road among the Mario kart series. I love how the graphics look on the rainbows on the road and more intersting you see planets, galaxies, asteroids, and others like in real life

i rly want Wii's rainbow road as the final track in the blue shell cup DLC. but i could also argue we now have more than enough rainbow road in MK8DX

I was 7 years old when MK7 for 3DS was released, I got 3DS for my 7th birthday with the Mario Kart 7 game. It was my first exposure to Nintendo games, and then I immediately fell in love with the game. I still remember playing MK7 all day long before, I always had 3DS with MK7 chip in my backpack or my pocket. I played this game wherever or whenever I could, but it was really hard for 7 years old me to win any races, even 50cc was hard for me. But I kept playing the game, just because it was really fun. Then it took like few months for me to reach to the special cup. The first 3 tracks on the special cup were also hard, but after finishing those 3 tracks I reached rainbow road. I remember the pain I've had every time I fell into the space. This track was something impossible for me, but the song was REALLY good for me and the structure and design of the level were so awesome that I couldn't stop playing. I remember trying to beat special cup on the school playground, raging a lot of times in front of my friends. Then about few weeks later after I unlocked special cup, I beat the rainbow road with the 1st place, and I saw "Thanks For Playing!" screen with my Mii I've made in the middle. I was so happy that I beat the game. Right after beating special cup on 50cc, I started playing 100cc & 150cc, then I began to play online mode of the game. After several years, I reached 10000 points on the online mode of the game. But as time went by I had no time to play Nintendo games, eventually being my biggest childhood nostalgia.
Then this video popped out in my recommendations tab. This was about 8 years after the last time I played MK7. I watched the whole video, and this video literally made me cry a little bit. Not only the track was recreated very well, but I remember all the pain and experiences I've went through playing this level 8 years ago. The song of MK7 rainbow road still gives me goosebumps over how great it is. I'm sad that I can't go back to the past, But I'm also happy that Nintendo remade my all-time favorite game level. Easily the best MK level ever.

Thank you Nintendo for my childhood, and thank you once more for recreating and bringing back my biggest gaming nostalgia.
