WRITING VLOG | outlining 3 different endings (plotter preparing for final act in draft one)

I decided the best way to stay on task and not be overwhelmed with beginning the final act of my novel was to create an outline for three potential endings. This strategy turned out to be a success! I used my 2 outlines (original and revised) as well as my current draft to construct three different endings. For each ending, I wrote down the important scenes and key parts that needed to happen, quick notes to myself, and a few bullet points that will help line up the story for this ending.

Are you a plotter? Do you fear entering into a new act? What is one fear you have as a writer?

"No wonder I'm always so stressed out." Shots fired. LOL. I totally identify with that. Loved the video.

That’s such a good idea! I’ve reoutlined a but it never comes to anything for me because I didn’t it for my first project that has so many issues. I also outlined it *after* the first draft, so the probably had something to do with it.

I've never really though about doing something like this before, but it seems like a cool idea! I already have my ending planned out, but I might try this for a different book!

I'm always several steps ahead too! Curious what you mean by a revised outline? How many outlines do you have? Loved this video ❤️

I find it interesting so many authors use “acts” for their writing. I wouldn’t know where to make the cut off. Is it an outlining term?
