CD's started in the early 80's, ZZ Top Eliminator and Van Halen 1984 were my first CDs.

This was the first song I ever heard of Nightwish after I had bougth the album based on a promising album review way back in spring 1998 and I immediately loved it! This is definitely also my favourite song on their debut album. I also loved Tarja's operatic vocals even though I otherwise don't care about opera at all - it's absolutely not my cup of tea -, but this just shows that sometimes the mixture of very different ingredients which I might not like or not care about in their pure/original form can create something new I enjoy a lot! I might belong to a minority among Nightwish-fans, but the original versions of the songs from their first albums with Tarja on vocals are definitely my favourite ones. This goes especially for their second album "Oceanborn", which is not only my - by far - overall most-played, but also still my favourite Nightwish-album and one of my overall favourite metal albums, too! My second favourite Nightwish-album used to be "Imaginaerum", but I'd say their latest one "Human :||: Nature" is about to take over that position - not sure, if it has already done so, yet. At no. 4, I'd probably put their debut.

They should have taught Tarja how to pronounce SWORD.

Tarja's diction always felt weird because of the operatic style she uses and English not being their first language also. She was very young as well here. Bet she was still learning how to enunciate in English.

There are a lot of good live videos of these songs on the From Wishes to Eternity DVD. Tarja is amazing live. On this DVD, they are still very close. There are a lot of things that led up to the firing of Tarja. It’s very sad, that Floor fans always trash Tarja and try to sway peoples opinion of her. They really don’t like it when people react to Tarja. Especially, if they react to her version of Ghost Love Score. A lot of things in the open letter Toumas wrote have been debunked. He also fired the second singer in a shady way as well. He has a history of immaturity. But, that is all in the past. Everyone has moved on. Tarja is now in contact with everyone from the band. Her and Floor are fans. Tarja even invited Floor to sing with her when she first joined NW, so the fans wouldn’t hate her. She’s really not the “Diva” Toumas made her out to be.
