Everyone, yes, I am going to review the Rane one. You can stop asking now. 😀

This perfect for bedroom DJs and small bar and clubs. Almost all clubs have a main mixer that the DJ plugs into, so RCA will work fine. This controller works with the major 3 softwares and it's cheap. Two of these is cheaper than 2 CDJs, so for clubs spending $1200 and having a backup is a win. Any DJ can use this for 2 to 4 hours and be fine. Great review

I love this controller, I'm an old broke scratch DJ coming from SB3 and only using to stream it's perfect for me! Not using at gigs just home.

I have this controller. I am a bedroom DJ. And you are right. I was trying to save for the DDJ 1000. But that is way hard when other priorities take over unfortunately. Merge FX and Jog cutter for me is not something I can adjust to. At least at the moment. I tried them both, and it was a train wreck lol. Maybe Merge FX once in a while in the future, but definitely not the jog cutter. I'm not really a scratch dj and if I wanted to scratch, I would do it the proper way. The jog wheel and 4 channels is what sold me. Plus the bonus was that I now have to full license software. That serato dj came with many expansion packs. So now I have the option to go to either software. If I was a mobile dj, I probably would of gotten something with an XLR output. I do wish the pads where RGB. But I have an xp1 and I can use those. But all in all, thanks for your honest option.

over a short distance RCA cable provides much better signal than XLR.
just use a small mixer or external soundcard instead of a controller's pre-amp that is always limited by space.

I'm having a lot of fun with my ddj flx6 no iam not a scratch nerd but I know how to dj and I do it well
Everybody seems to have a problem with this controller I love mine don't buy this controller if your gonna complain
Instead get a prime4 or ddj1000srt or rane one
Everyone have a great weekend

At one time all the DJ had was a pair of turntables in a mixer nothing too fancy... all the effects doesn't mean nothing with any controller if you don't know how to DJ.. high end on low end controller..great review my brother..

I had a Ddj Rev1 for a month and decided to upgrade to the now Ddj Flx6 GT for me the selling point is that when you add the Serato Dj Pro 250 value to the Ddj Rev1 you paying the same as a Ddj Flx6 GT

We just want a two-channel controller with CDJ style platters😞stick with the basics but give us those nice jog wheels

I never DJ’d in my life and as I was comparing I chose this one because it would give me the “feel” of a full size unit if all went well, but also show me the basics. At half the price of the DDJ 1000 I thought this was a more than good option for someone starting out with all of the creative taste to have a fighting chance at potentially getting gigs. That was my mindset as a buyer anyhow.

Great review.
Really liked hearing such an honest and balanced review of your experience.
Couldn’t agree more with the need for balanced outs.

Good video! I was looking at this controller because my mixer broke and I would like to get into mixing with three or four decks and the price seemed more affordable as a first investment into the dj controller realm. But after watching this video and a previous one with all of the flaws it has, it seems like the best part of the whole controller is the jog wheels.

You brought up some very good points, I'm currently in the middle of making up my mind whether I should buy it or not. My budget is a big factor but I like the spinning red light track position on the jog wheels, I also like the effects knob. That said, a lot of people are saying that it's not that great with Serato. That's too bad because that is the software I currently know and use. I wish they had a controller with motorized jog wheels at this price or lower. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that. And also, about the sync button and all the work the controller does for the DJ, I myself am disabled and I depend on these buttons and so-called gimmicks to help me with my creativity. A lot of us disabled guys enjoy the sync button and scratch affects and so forth. That's the thing to remember about what this is good for. So there's a little something in this mixer for everyone you can decide to use these features or you can just not use them, but pioneer should never take away these features because I and a few other guys I know depend on these. It makes it fun and easy and accessible for us to use. Thank you for the video✌️✅

I have couple of questions…
I upgraded from SB3 to FLX6 but honestly I feel more confident so far on SB3, I was very excited that I can have 2 outputs but for some reason the booth output didn’t work at the same time with the master out. So is it either or?? Am I doing something wrong? Is it related to the software? I’m using virtual DJ.
Also I downloaded the rekordbox but then I realized that I will be loosing all my hot cues saved on virtual DJ. Is there anyway to transfer this to rekordbox?
Lastly, I feel the jogwheel here in flx6 is a bit less sensitive than sb3. When I wanna set an accurate hot cue, it doesn’t allow me to move smoothly and it jumps over the waveform not in milliseconds.
Thanks for ur support always❤

I bought this controller, it is gimmicky but I definitely like it. I am in the category of moving from vinyl to controllers, so it works for me. I totally get your criticisms though.

I just bought this controller yesterday for 2 reasons. 1: Windows bricked my ddj-400 and left me with nothing. 2: If I'm going to get another controller, it's going to be an upgrade. Would I love a v-10 with 4 CDJs? Absolutely. How about an XDJ-XZ? Of course, but I don't have an extra $2-7000 lying around at the moment. Jog cutter sounds cool and so does MergeFX, but I bought it specifically for the 4 channels and CDJ sized platters. It's coming tomorrow, but I think for someone like me, it's going to be a definite upgrade from the 400 and gives me more of an incentive in the future to buy an XZ or a 1000 if I want to stick with a controller. I think it also gives me a pretty good idea of the sheer size of some of these other controllers and setups. The 400 was big when I got it, but it's funny how small it gets after about 2 years of using it.

Just got started so this seemed perfect to use with my existing rekordbox app… plus I found the white one for $495 shipped 👍 and I totally agree about the rca’s

Definitely beginner to strong intermediate level. It looks good and professional, comes with the basics with some bells and whistles. I use to spin back in the day on turntables and wax. I stopped when I joined the military then all the music became digital. I found about 90% of all my disco, house, and underground plus new cuts online. So this DJ controller is your mixer, 4 turntables, EQ, and Tape deck in 1 package. All ya need is headphones, a receiver/amp and speakers. Of course a computer to control, organize, adjust and monitor the music and sound.

The only reason i bought the flx6 is the 800 and the xdj rr were on back order and the manufacter had no idea when they were going to get them in stock. So here i am
