I'm Loading Up on These High Yield Dividend Stocks (Up to 12%)

After a long period of dividend stocks being on sale, what we’ve been seeing recently is that a lot of companies in a handful of sectors have already fully recovered. For example, a handful of BDCs are now back to trading at what they were before interest rates soared. Looking at Ares Capital, right now you can see it's basically recovered from where it was in 2021 before the interest rate hikes. Main Street Capital is another stock that's very close to where they were trading back in 2021, along with Hercules Capital. We've also seen companies in other sectors that have already seen a good recovery and aren't on sale anymore. But dividend investors like myself are still waiting for other sectors of the market to recover, including REITs, energy stocks, and closed-end funds.

All of these sectors are full of stocks that are largely still trading at sizable discounts right now, especially REITs, while interest rates remain high. So in this video, I wanted to show people some of what I’ve been buying in the last week and how I’m perpetually picking up more shares of my favorite high-yielding investments. It’s also another way for me to be transparent with what I’m holding, although I share the latest news on every single transaction I make, including as soon as I enter or exit an investment, over on our Patreon. But today I’ll detail some of my most recent purchases and explain my reasoning for doing so.

My advice for dividend investors is to save for a bigger investment if you really want to retire off dividends. My major picks are SCHD, TSLA, NVDA and a few more that i can't mention. My investment manager John Desmond Heppolette, is really strict on discretion, anyway i digress. You can't expect to make a million from a thousand dollar investment that's where most people get it wrong, It's not a lottery!! Make realistic investments!! People say it's good to be greedy while investing. Yes, i agree but there's a difference between being greedy and being delusional haha. For example last year I invested about $80k in dividends growth stocks and made about $246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with him again and now I'm rounding up to millions.

Stocks have stayed aloft as signs of cooler inflation encouraged the market to believe the Fed is finally done with raising rates, Making Investors like me believe that “Santa has come early” to markets to find out the best additions to a $500K portfolio to boost performance

Because of dividends, I first began investing in stocks. It's important, in my opinion, to be able to live off of dividends without selling if you invest and make other income in addition to payouts. It suggests that you may pass that down to your kids and give them a leg up in life. Over the years, I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks; I continue to buy more today and will keep doing so until the price drops even further.

I would think that a major benefit of dividend investing is that calculating portfolio size needed is not relevant. We don't care about the value of the portfolio. We care about the sustainable income it pays. As you invest you can gradually see the income rise as you invest more and pull the retirement trigger when it's high enough regardless of the market sentiment.

Great stocks and I just bought in on them, but I'm interested in making a short-term profit, let's say turn a $150K to $ 500K in 6 months, I'd appreciate tips on how what stocks to buy to make this much profit.

I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement. I'm seeking to invest $400K across markets but don't know where to start.

To enhance our long-term investment mix, my partner and I are introducing a range of stocks and ETFs. We've committed $220k initially, with a particular emphasis on inflation-protected bonds and businesses demonstrating robust cash flows. I see potential for enduring growth in the current market, yet I'm also keen to explore strategies for generating short-term gains.

Which ETF would you place $100, 000 into if you wanted to set up your child just graduating from college? I want to simply place it in the ETF, reinvest the dividends, stick it in the proverbial drawer, place her as the beneficiary, and not worry about watching the account balance

Things appear strange right now. The value of the US dollar is declining due to inflation, but it is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. People are flocking to the dollar because they believe it is safer. I'm worried that rising inflation will cause my $420, 000 in retirement funds to lose value. What else could we do with our money?

Scholars who study the stock market’s historical performance estimate that over time, the payment (and reinvestment, and compounding) of dividends have contributed anywhere from 30% to 90% of the S&P 500’s total returns. I want to spread across $400k into profit yielding dividend equities but unsure of which to get into.

I appreciate your approach to teaching.. To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough, we just need to hold onto our hopes and wait to see how things turn out because market movements are almost always unpredictable. In my portfolio, I'm noticing more red than green..

Thank you for this video. I bought more ENB in the last few weeks while it was dropping, too. For some reason, I've held back on VICI; I've enjoyed playing at some of those casinos, hope to do so again, but to invest? Not sure. I added a little bit more of several income positions over the last few weeks, including ABR, so now I have enough to sell covered calls and still have the base div I need if it gets called away. Now that almost everything I want is green again, I'm hanging back.

I have been a long time holder of VICI. I bought back during 2020 dip. I was hoping for more of a pull back to pick up shares at a better entry point. Assuming interest rates have peaked, then now should be a good time to buy and get a decent return, which will probably be around it's current dividend yield.

Couldn't agree more with you on SPYI. It is now my #1 position. It will be interesting to see if they start buying calls(which the ETF is authorized to do) outright to boost the total return. I saw an interview with the founder and he mentioned that buying calls would be considered if he could catching a strong uptrend in the S and P.
