Poilievre blames Liberals, NDP for 'worst crime wave in Canadian history'

During a speech in London, Ont., Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre expressed his condolences to the family of Breanna Broadfoot, a teenage victim of domestic violence.

Poilievre criticized the Liberals and NDP for implementing what he referred to as a "catch and release" justice system, which he claims allows repeat violent offenders to go free.

Citing Statistics Canada data on the increase in violent crimes, Poilievre said that "catch and release, wacko NDP, Liberal policies have caused one of the worst crime waves in Canadian history."

I love how rich people in Vancouver are like: no there is no problem. Meanwhile, I don't even feel comfortable taking my kids to the park in East Van because every time we go out something always happens. I work 16 hours a day and spend 2900 dollars a month on a basement suite with my wife and 2 kids. I served in the Canadian Army for 8 years and I live paycheque to paycheque... I don't have time for anything other than work to provide for my family. I honestly am at my whits end.... I don't think the elites will ever understand the true stress we at the bottom are feeling. It literally costs me 6500 dollars minimum just to survive and make sure my kids are fed.
