Thank you! This is how I feel when doing foster child advocacy CASA/GAL work, I’m only helping one or two children at a time but maybe the ripple effects of my help will go forward, that’s what keeps me going

The starfish story, shared everywhere these days, originally came from Loren Eisley's short story, "The Star Thrower, " and I wish he got more credit for it.

As we watch others being unkind, others will watch someone being kind. Always an opposite in this world .just as a wee aside, I find comfort in your posts and thank you to all writing, too. Amongst the casual throw away of common good, I find myself uplifted by the wisdom of decency and eternal hope.

Be kind to people you don't know. Ask a stranger how they're doing & mean it, like you're checking in on one of your fellow human beings. I've been doing this - talking to cab drivers, people in waiting rooms - and it's something that keeps the worthwhile fabric of society together. A very small thing can be large when done with a sincere, caring heart. This clip reminded me of that & made me really try and see people this week. Thanks, ❤

Yes, you can act as an individual. And we can also act as groups, and we can communicate to people who have more power.

I think of it more like relativity

In the grand scheme of things being a very good person is a very tiny light

But in your sphere of influence being the best person you can be by relativity can be a very great light

Thank Ryan very Good ! I’m trying to do good things without expecting anything in return or remembering that I did the good act . The other side of that coin is not getting vexed with so much lunacy. Tempus Fugit, Memento Morí.
