The 2024 #Olympic Games have officially begun in the vibrant city of Paris, France! On Monday afternoon, June 29, 2024, the United States women's national basketball team began its 2024 Paris Olympics campaign with a 102-76 victory over Japan. Did you watch the game? The US women's national team had a difficult first half but then switched gears, cruising to a victory over Japan. A'ja Wilson was overpowering inside, scoring 24 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Breanna Stewart wasn't far behind, with 22 points and eight rebounds. How about Chelsea Gray? She was on fire, setting the pace with 11 out of 13 assists coming in the first half alone. The Americans recorded assists on 35 of their 41 field goals. Team USA and Germany are now tied for first place in Group C, both with two points. That's exciting, right? Now, after a well-deserved two-day rest, they'll return to action on Thursday against Belgium in another entertaining group play game.
