The one thing people forget about Kai'sa is that her base AD is incredibly low which means the AD items aren't as effective on her, Especially now that it's no longer a flat increase
All her damage is from her ability and the stacking attacking speed to proc it faster
this helps her cast ability immediately and reduces MR while adding more magic damage and attack speed

79 base AD as a 3 star yikes

Have you ever tried Poppy with 6 defenders? Her shield damage scaales with armor, and with crit items like IE or jeweled gloves she can have crits on it hehehe
