During the superior spider-man arc, Octavius in Peter's body threw what he thought was a quick jab to a thug and nearly punched his head off. He realized that Peter was holding back his true strength the whole time to not instantly kill anyone.

To this day the MCU will never explain to the people how truly powerful Spider-Man really is even without the the goo. Every villain in the comics knows how truly powerful Spider-Man really is if he doesn't hold back. Dr. Octavius was the first one to realize this.

Something that I’ve always loved about JJJ (most people probably know this) is in Spiderman 2002 when Goblin asks him who takes the pictures of Spiderman, he tells him the pictures come in the mail when he knows it’s Peter.
