This is great! We played it at my family's Christmas. I highly recommend wrapping using smaller sections so competitors can't just 'unroll' the prize. Also, if you are feeling especially devilish, a piece of scotch tape here in there will really make things difficult. Thanks for sharing!

Use oven mitts when unwrapping the ball. It makes it harder and a lot more fun. :)

This is by far the coolest Christmas game ever! My family freaks out when playing this every year, now! Last year, every family member made their own ball -- which was awesome because we got to play it like 9 times in one night!

This is a wonderful game! Our two toddlers played it and instead of rolling dice, the adults clapped our hands and we all chanted Santa's Reindeer names "Dasher, Dancer, ...." when we said "Rudolf" the ball was handed over. GREAT Christmas fun! Thank you for posting.

We played this game tonight at the Christmas party. There was a bunch of us and it was so fun. I had the hardest time of all rolling doubles. Someone said they were not taking me to Las Vegas with them, lol. They even began to say hurry and unwrap Rain has the dice, lol. It became a fun joke how bad I was at trying to roll doubles, lol. This was truly a great game to play :)

This game is a hit, I play power hour on youtube while a group of 4 to 6 play so you pass the ball whenever the song changes, I use 2 balls and it gets intense. Everyone barters and trades at the end, my favorite game ever!

i will be giving this game a shot. we have game day from time to time and welcome something different. having a few drinks prior should definitely add to the fun. for those concerned for all the wasted plastic and the environment, there's always some way to break even. might make you feel better.

we have some big items, so we put numbers on a card and wrap that in the ball, who ever gets a card with a number gets whatever box it is under the tree

I started this tradition 3 years ago, my grand children, (young adults) LUV IT, wish I had seen these Christmas games years ago. My Grand daughter, the oldest says, she will continue this year each, so nice to know it's gonna be a long tradition in my family for years to come, We also started the Christmas Mitten Game at the same time. Also so much fun, I always put a gift card in for Movie passes, or somewhere to eat, Then, Their ALL winners, who ever wins, takes the other 3 :) Happy Holidays ALL

Did this last year for family as a surprise during Thanksgiving to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. It was a huge hit. Hid some airplane bottles of booze, dollar bills, scratcher tickets, restaurant gift cards, and of course, candy to the ball. Everyone had a decent pile and it was fun watching them fight to get the next prize that they could see before the next person stole it.

I find if you use the cheap plastic wrap it sticks longer than Saran wrap.

Not saying we have a rowdy bunch, but we had to outlaw teeth and knives to help open it! Also, we added a Santa's hat that had to be put on before you could begin opening it. Plus we have done it with Cling Wrap. It is a fun game for my children's Sunday School class to my 80 year olds!

for everyone complaining about the waste of plastic: how about reusing it for whatever sake you might think of, some filling Material for packages or even wrapping food in it ...
i think it's a gorgeous idea ! will try it !

Last year, made two of these & much bigger than the video shows, one for my adult children and spouses and one for a party with my siblings & spouses. It was great fun. Making two more this year. There are a lot of other ways plastic is wasted than by this game. Great memories were made and some of my siblings are elderly and won't be here forever. No regrets!!
