As a musician, Olivia is great (I personally don't like that sort of music, but she is incredible). Now as a human being, she sucks. She let the world treat Joshua like shit. Indirectly (by not addressing what was going on [she only said that she didn't want to get caught in the drama] and say something) and directly by liking, sharing, rt, things that were targeting josh (like the SNL sketch where they literally called him a bitch).
She knew how to distinguish right from wrong, and what the people were doing was wrong. She did a whole song about mental health issues, but let the entire world destroy Joshua's.
I hope she learned from this and never lets something like that happen again.

Nah secret can’t be about Sabrina cause her sister Sarah worked with Josh as a creative director behind the music videos so I don’t think she would agree to do it if he insinuated her sister cheated. Plus the lyrics “good for you fooling everyone” “had me tricked for 16 months” are definitely about Olivia she has a song good for you and dated Josh longer then he and Sabrina were together. The lyrics “ I bet your songs won't sound the same. The truth you can't deny, it changed everything” would also make sense for Olivia she has a whole album abt him while Sabrina only made one song about this situation and it wasn’t even shady. ( I think maybe they used a blonde girl on purpose to have someone who looks nothing like Olivia in the video) cause the white car is definitely referencing drivers license lyrics.

i think the reason he chose a blonde girl is because he didn't want olivia to get the hate he received. by making the girl blonde, people are wondering if it's about sabrina or olivia but its so unclear that no one is actually hating on either of them. he said in an interview that he was still trying to protect the people who failed to protect him (meaning olivia). if he picked a brunette girl, it would've been obvious that it's olivia so everyone would call her out and hate on her for cheating and that's the last thing he wants so he decided to confuse the public with a blonde actress.

I would guess Secret is about Olivia because of the hints in the lyrics, but who knows. I will say it's not about Sabrina because her sister Sarah was the creative director with Joshua on all three songs and 16 months really doesn't work for them.

set me free isn’t about sabrina, they’re on good terms and sarah who is sabrina’s sister helped with the mvs. also im pretty sure they used a blonde because if they would’ve had a brunette actress people would’ve attacked him for it, even though they still are. in a recent interview, he talked about how he doesn’t want to hurt or expose anyone that he cared about. also the band reference when they’re not looking at him, a lot of people think it has to do with the fact that fans and even his cast mates turned their back on him and didn’t let him tell his side. a lot of them unfollowed him when the situation happened but they follow him again. also people think it’s about his cast mates hsmtmts knew something shady about olivia, she cheated on him and they knew about it but didn’t tell him. idk if that’s 100% true so please nobody attack me, that’s just what people are saying.

SOO.. FIRST OF ALL… I was so excited about these three songs when he started promo. When the sneak peek from Secret came out, SHOOK. IM LIKE “OH… MY BOY DID THAT.” Amazing, I love it. I felt it. I WENT THROUGH IT.
Second of all, NOW AFTER ALL THE EMOTIONS, I remember their interviews on both of their writing styles. They both complimented each other and explained their writing styles during the filming of HSMTMTS. Olivia writes where people can relate to the lyrics. Joshues writes more on his emotions about situations. Both of them are so fckn brilliant when writing and are super talented.
THIRD OF ALL, (Wow, I was so invested. Very embarrassing BUT HERE YA GO) The entire year was for Olivia. She really put herself out. BUT BUT BUT… I will say that, what did bother me was that the entire time, they never confirmed their relationship. Might have been because age wise, might have been because they wanted it low key. We don’t know. As fans, the whole thing was blown out in their face: Olivia, Josh and Sabrina. Everyone was speculating and making it seem like we knew what was going on, but in reality, we really don’t know what the story is. I was so neutral about the whole drama, but was disappointed with Olivia when she couldve stepped in to say “Hey guys, lets not send anyone hate” or something like that. Now while I understand she was hurting and coping (definitely felt in SOUR) shes still so young. Her fan base grew so, I was hoping that she could’ve at least said something. She has her whole life ahead of her. I love that girl so much since HSMTMTS, her career is already so successful. I am happy and proud she found her own way to pour her emotions in an entire album.
WRAPPING IT UP, they’re so young. They are all so talented individually and make such beautiful music. But I am also SO PROUD of Joshua for coming out when HE was ready to tell his side, his feelings and just setting the record straight in his way. He even said that all the money from his merch was going to be donated to mental health organization. The amount of sh!t people put him through because of speculations, rumors and such.. it was ridiculous. He is so young and to go through all of that? He definitely did not deserve all the hate. He is also so underrated and I know for a fact that he will come out with an album as well. Dont know when, but im so ready for it!
I WOULD SAY MORE, but this a lot already. ALSO THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. My POV. Lool I wish them both nothing but success and that this whole thing can left in the past so that they can both live their lives civilized and continue on with their careers.

i think for secret he made it hard for you to tell who it was about to keep his word when he sings "your secrets safe with me" but he could also be trying to keep the secret of who they cheated with
